Kota is a city on the Chambal River in Rajasthan, northern India. Inside the Kota Garh, or City Palace, the Maharao Madho Singh Museum exhibits miniature paintings and antique weapons. South, along the river, tranquil Chambal Garden has a pond with crocodiles. Northeast, 18th-century Jagmandir Palace sits in the middle of Kishore Sagar Lake. Seven Wonders Park includes mini replicas of the Eiffel Tower and Taj Mahal.

Famous Monuments

1 Seven Wonders Park

Seven Wonders Park in Kota comprises of miniatures of all the Seven Wonders of the World. These include Taj Mahal, Great Pyramid, Eiffel Tower, Leaning Tower, Christ the Redeemer of Brazil, Colosseum, and Statue of Liberty. The project which was undertaken to build this garden was worth 20 crores by Urban Development Department. It took more than 150 workers to complete the project.

It has become a famous tourist spot and attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world. These miniatures have been built on the bank of the Kishore Sagar Lake thereby enhancing its beauty. People flock to the park to enjoy a lovely picnic with friends and family.

Cameras are allowed in the park so that happy moments can be captured. Also, facilities such as food stalls with delicious food at a nominal rate, lockers, and washrooms are offered to the general public. It is best to visit the park in the evening.

2 Kishore Sagar and Jagmandir Palace
In the middle of Kishore Sagar Lake lies the beautiful red stone monument called Jag Mandir. It was built by one of the queens of Kota, in the year 1740. Situated nearby Keshar Bagh, this place used to serve as a pleasure palace for the erstwhile kings. Tourist can see the reflection of a palace on the shimmering lake.

3 Kota Barrage
Kota Barrage is the fourth in the series of Chambal Valley Projects, located about 0.8 km upstream of Kota City in Rajasthan. 

4 Chambel Garden
The Chambal Garden is located in southeastern Rajasthan, India on the banks of the Chambal River in the town of Kota. The well-groomed garden's centerpiece is a pond replete with gharials, which used to house magars as well.

5 Khade Ganesh Ji Temple

Believed to be more than 600 years old idol, Khade Ganesh is one of the most important religious place in Kota.

Situated close to river Chambal, there is a lake nearby where several Peacocks could be spotted. The unique part about this temple is that Ganesh's idol is in standing pose, which is supposed to be the only standing idol of Ganesh in India.

6 City Palace Kota
Witness the wealth and treasures of Kota at City Palace. One of the major tourist attractions in Kota, this palace is decorated with beautiful frescos, wall paintings, mirror hangings, mirror ceiling, and flower decorations. The palace is surrounded by lush green gardens which add to the exquisiteness of the place. There is a museum as well in this city palace, and exhibits a spectacular collection of medieval weapons, outfits and apparels of former kings and queens, artifacts and handicrafts.
